z2o Sara Zanin is happy to announce Marta Roberti's exhibition titled Giungla a palazzo  curated by Silvia Evengelisti in Palazzo Boncompagni, Bologna.

The exhibition presents the dreamlike and anthropomorphic world of Marta Roberti as it takes over Palazzo Boncompagni. A show that intertwines myth, nature, and history in a unique dialogue between contemporary art and the ancient architectural splendor of the residence of Pope Gregory XIII.

Palazzo Boncompagni opens its doors to the poetic and visionary universe of Marta Roberti, one of the most original artists on the contemporary scene. Her works transform the palace’s spaces into an imaginative habitat populated by sphinxes, archaic goddesses, exotic animals, and hybrid creatures, offering visitors an evocative journey through metamorphosis and mythology.

The artist’s creatures will inhabit both the external loggia and the interior spaces of the Boncompagnina, reaching all the way to the monumental Vignola Staircase. Marta Roberti’s works establish an intimate dialogue with the architecture and decorations of the Boncompagnina, where grotesques on white backgrounds, surreal landscapes, fantastical animals, and mythological deities seem to mirror her drawn figures. From Athena to Aphrodite, from Ceres to Fortuna, each figure evokes a bridge between ancient times and contemporary sensibilities.
