We are pleased to announce the participation of Evgeny Antufiev, Kaarina Kaikkonen, and Fabrizio Prevedello in the exhibition This Body Made of Stardust, a project by Viviane Sassen, on view from 27 April to 27 July 2025 at Collezione Maramotti, Reggio Emilia.
Part of the twentieth edition of Fotografia Europea, Being Twenty, this exhibition marks the most comprehensive presentation of Sassen’s work in Italy to date and is curated by the artist herself.
In dialogue with sculptures from the Collezione Maramotti—by Evgeny Antufiev, Kaarina Kaikkonen, Fabrizio Prevedello, and TARWUK—selected for their immediate resonance with Sassen’s vision, the photographs are drawn from various series in the artist’s extensive archive. Over the years, Sassen has continuously reconfigured these works as part of an ongoing, long-term investigation.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a catalogue featuring texts by Federica Angelucci of STEVENSON, Cape Town, and art critic and curator Marco Scotini.
