Chiara Bettazzi (Prato, 1977) lives and works in Prato.

Artist and founder of the industrial space in Via Genova, she dedicates herself to her artistic research that investigates a dual dimension, on one hand, space and places, and on the other, a poetics of everyday objects that develops between accumulation and waste. For ten years, she has been carrying out the Tuscan Art Industry project, an observatory on the landscape and the recovery of industrial archaeology in the Prato area.
Her entire process moves along the thin pathological line typical of contemporary society, on one hand oriented towards disposable goods and on the other hand, inclined towards the compulsive accumulation of objects of dubious usefulness.
Her works are present in public and private collections, including the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rome, Casa Masaccio Center for Contemporary Art, the Farnesina Collection, the Museum of Santa Maria della Scala, Castello di Ama and Villa Rospigliosi.
