Jacopo Rinaldi (Rome, 1988) lives and works in Rome.
His practice focuses on research within specific territories and often involves local communities or institutions. His works frequently develop over the medium or long term and are rooted in processes of historical and documentary investigation. Through a multidisciplinary approach that includes installation, photography, drawing, and moving images, Rinaldi collects and reworks stories and documents, transforming them into tools for a critical reinterpretation of the present.
He is a member of Lateral Roma, an independent space dedicated to various artistic formats, and collaborates with NABA – Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Rome.
His works have been exhibited in several institutions, including: MUFOCO – Museum of Contemporary Photography (MI); MACRO – Museum of Contemporary Art of Rome (RM); Palazzo Braschi – Quadriennale di Roma (RM); Palazzo Strozzi (FI); MA*GA Museum (VA); Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art, San Marino; KORA (LE); Fondazione Pastificio Cerere (RM).
He has participated in residency programs such as: VISIO (Lo schermo dell’arte), ArteVisione (Careof), Q-Rated (Quadriennale di Roma), Mahler & LeWitt Studios / Viaindustriae, Viafarini, Fondazione Spinola Banna, Fondazione Pistoletto, and Associazione Ramdom.
