MARTA ROBERTI & ANNA ROBERTI | Geografie blu

curated by Francesco Perozzi
z2o Sara Zanin is pleased to announce the participation of artists Marta and Anna Roberti in Geografie blu, curated by Francesco Perozzi. The exhibition is promoted by Casa Sponge e SPAZIO TORRSO.

Geografie blu is the exhibition event that emerges as an evolution of the journey begun with Blu: il colore della cuccagna, a project carried out by Casa Sponge as part of Pesaro 2024 – Capitale Italiana della Cultura. This path involved 82 artists and the communities of Urbino, Pergola, Urbania, Peglio, Borgo Pace, Sant’Angelo in Vado, and Pesaro through artist residencies, exhibitions, installations, performances, community workshops—and now, through the vision of TORRSO, it reactivates in an open and generative dimension.

The exhibition brings together eleven artists – Elena Bellantoni, Angelo Bellobono, Gea Casolaro, Fabrizio Cotognini, Giovanni Gaggia, Giulia Marchi, Juan Pablo Macías, Marta and Anna Roberti, Giorgia Severi, and Marco Strappato – whose works offer a significant selection of the project’s development, encompassing continuity, variations, and new evolutions. The exhibition is accompanied by the book BLU: il colore della cuccagna – Sulla via del guado tra storia e contemporaneo (Manfredi Edizioni), which gathers critical voices, images, and diverse narratives.

The exhibition is not conceived as a mere retrospective, but as an opportunity for rewriting: Geografie blu continues the initiated path in an open and constantly evolving form. Only some works retain their original configuration; others have been reworked, transformed, or replaced by new creations that emerged as further responses to the experience. This dynamic of transformation reflects the very soul of the project, rooted in listening to context, shared time, and evolving relationships between artists, places, and communities. In this sense, the exhibition becomes a mobile narrative—both a sedimentation and an opening.

Eleven artists present works created during the residencies or reinterpreted through the experiences of a year-long journey. The color blue – a historical pigment extracted from Isatis tinctoria and a symbol of the project – becomes both a guiding thread and a metaphor, linking landscape, memory, and imagination. The exhibited works tell of a corporeal and collective geography, born from shared paths.
