z2o Sara Zanin is pleased to present Fuoriscena's viewing room, a solo exhibition by artist Beatrice Meoni (Florence, 1960), curated by Marina Dacci. After her first exhibition in 2022, Light everywhere, hosted at the z2o Project space, the artist returns to engage with the spaces of the main venue at Via Alessandro Volta 34.
Beatrice Meoni takes a comprehensive look at the world, combining physical and mental experiences in her paintings. The result is a series of pictorial spaces that reflect her constant coming and going, much like the continuous flow of the sea. Everything shifts and repositions itself, forming an ever-present link between her studio, home, garden, treehouse and the forest. In her studio, this vision is transformed into paintings in which time and space merge seamlessly. Her vibrant, evocative palette and her gestures—marking, erasing, and layering on canvas or board—are constantly reactivated in new visual seasons. The artist's body engages in dialogue with everyday objects and spaces, constant elements in her work. The experience of the treehouse allowed her to rediscover the "art of becoming small," looking at what is outside with a new perspective, in an intimacy that takes on an almost mystical flavor. Beatrice Meoni is in constant listening, painting echoes.
